These Terms of Service govern the engagement of Cityside Conveyancing Pty Ltd ("Cityside", "we", "us") to provide conveyancing services. By engaging us, you agree to these terms. Our engagement is confirmed in a written Costs Disclosure provided at the commencement of your matter.
Cityside Conveyancing is licensed to provide conveyancing services in Victoria (Licence No. 002362L). Our services include residential purchase and sale conveyancing, commercial conveyancing, subdivision, off-the-plan, and business sale and purchase transactions. We do not provide general legal advice, estate law, family law, or dispute resolution services.
In accordance with the Conveyancers Act 2006 (Vic), we provide a written Costs Disclosure at the commencement of every matter. This disclosure sets out our professional fees, anticipated disbursements, and the basis for billing. We will notify you promptly of any changes to the estimated costs.
Our professional fees are as quoted in the Costs Disclosure. Disbursements (search fees, registration fees, PEXA fees, government charges) are charged at cost. Our fees are generally payable at or before settlement. We reserve the right to withhold settlement proceeds pending payment of outstanding fees and disbursements.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information relevant to your matter, to respond to our requests for information or documents promptly, to notify us of any changes to your circumstances or intentions, and to comply with identity verification requirements under the AML/CTF Act from 1 July 2026.
As an AUSTRAC-registered reporting entity, we are legally required to verify the identity of all clients before providing designated services. Failure to provide required identification documents may prevent us from acting for you. Identity information is held and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our liability to you in connection with our conveyancing services is limited to the professional fees paid by you in connection with the relevant matter. We are not liable for consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or any loss arising from information or instructions you have provided that are inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by our licence.
We retain your matter file and associated records for a minimum of seven years following the completion of your matter, in accordance with our regulatory obligations and professional standards.

If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact the Victorian Legal Services Commissioner (VLSC) at lsbc.vic.gov.au or the Victorian Ombudsman.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising from our engagement is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
